We’re fortunate enough to have 11 of our Representatives be members of the Democratic Party, as well as a whole slate of state-, city-, and county-wide officers. Join one of their reelection campaigns by following the information below:

Mike Quigley for Congress (IL-05) – Rep. Quigley has spots for general interns with many responsibilities including staffing the Congressman at events, contacting voters, assisting with event set up, interacting with political figures, responding to emails, helping daily office operations, canvassing and drafting, copyediting emails and other materials. Bill Foster for Congress (IL-11) – Those interested in becoming Foster Organizing Fellows should fill out this form, but organizing likely will not begin until 2018. Interns are unpaid, but college credit may be available.

Friends of Cheri Bustos (IL-17) – This internship program will provide applicants the opportunity to work alongside campaign staff, receive training from political professionals, and work across campaign departments. As one of the DCCC’s 19 Frontline races for 2018, we’re looking forward to building a great team of interns working on this exciting race. Previous campaign experience is not required – we want to teach! Interns must commit to working a minimum of 20  hours a week. Our interns will assist field, finance, and political departments within the campaign. This is an unpaid internship. All interns should have access to reliable transportation, a laptop computer and cell phone. Summers for Chicago – The Summers for Chicago campaign is looking to find 1-2 interns for the fall/winter season. If interested, send your resume to Rachel Hoge at The Fall/Winter Summers for Chicago Internship entails: 2-3 days a week, flexible on hours work in the Loop. Qualified applicants would be proficient (or quick to learn) in databases and excel. Interns’ main functions are Fundraising/Outreach – events, acknowledgements, individual engagement, community events (Young Professionals Reception, Women’s Breakfast, Donor Receptions; administrative – database management, vetting, strategy; and communications – social media, email marketing.
